Try CreativeNotes 4.0The latest release of CreativeNotes is version 4.0. All notes created with version 3.x can be used with version 4.0. If you have been running version 2 of CreativeNotes, you must use the Backup feature of that version to take a backup of your database. Version 4.0 will extract your notes from that backup file. Just download it to your PC, and run it. CreativeNotes Desktop Edition comes with Microsoft .NET Framework v2. This will be installed automatically unless you already have it on your PC. If you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7, it comes pre-installed, so you don't need to install it again. CreativeNotes Mobile EditionThe latest build is Build 933, which was built on 21 May 2009. Just download CreativeNotes to your Windows PC, and then install it on your Pocket PC using ActiveSync, or Windows Mobile Device Center if you have Windows Vista or later. You can download it here. Alternatively, if you have Windows Mobile 5 or later, you can download and install CreativeNotes Mobile Edition directly onto your Windows Mobile device. Download this file. It doesn't include Compact Framework 2.0, so if you have Windows Mobile 5 you should do the first installation of CreativeNotes via your PC, and use this file only for updates. Installation optionsCreativeNotes Mobile Edition comes with Microsoft Compact Framework 2.0. Select this option unless you already have CF 2.0 on your Pocket PC. Windows Mobile 6 devices come with it pre-installed. When you first start CreativeNotes, you may be asked if you want to store your notes in the main memory of your mobile device, or on a storage card if you have one. You will be able to change this setting later if you want. However, please always install CreativeNotes itself, and Compact Framework, into your main device memory. If you created a backup file from version 2 of CreativeNotes, you can import your existing notes from it. Install CreativeNotes Desktop or Mobile Edition, then use Tools->Import, and for Type choose CN Backups(*.cnb). Guide to CreativeNotes versionsThe registered version of CreativeNotes is the same as the trial version, but with the time limit removed. When you buy CreativeNotes, we send you a registration code which unlocks CreativeNotes, so that you can use it for more than 30 days. You can check which version of CreativeNotes is installed, by looking at About... on the Help or Tools menu. This version of CreativeNotes is a free upgrade if you purchased version 3.x.
